About the Program
Caminando con Amor is a Family Strengthening Intervention for Early Childhood Development (FSI-ECD).
In this program, parents or caregivers living in Colombia are provided with guidance and support in order to help them enhance the upbringing of their children under 36 months of age. Caregiving skills, nutrition, child health and hygiene, stress management, conflict resolution, and positive parenting are all part of the program.
Professor Maria Fernanda Piñeros Leaño from the School of Social Work at Boston College and Alethea Desrosiers from Brown University are currently leading this study in Colombia.

María Fernanda Piñeros
Principal Investigador (PI)
Associate Professor at Boston College School of Social Work (BCSSW). She is originally from Bogotá, Colombia. Dr. Piñeros-Leañojoined BCSSW in 2018 after obtaining a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Alethea Desrosiers
Principal Investigador (PI)
Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University and a faculty member in the Brown Research on Implementation and Dissemination to Guide Evidence Use (BRIDGE) Program. Her work focuses on implementation science in the global mental health context.
